Korean ID Application Process for F visa holders (Resident Registration Card / 거소신고증)

F Visa holders must apply Residence Registration card (거소신고증) after your arrival. 


by the time you are applying your ID, they also request the same documents which you may already submit to the Korean consulate for visa permission. Make sure you are making photocopies of basic documents. 


Korvia consulting provide a package of the list to your employer so that you can pick up some of the documents before you visit the immigration office. But you need to prepare a majority of documents on your own.

1. Application form (Report Form)

2. Original Passport along with photocopy

  • Must bring original Passport, photocopy will be included on documents package

3. 1 passport size photo (2"x2")

4. 1 Copy of Certificate of Personal Records

(기본 증명서)

  • Basic certificate can apply from local civil office in Korea (주민센터) 
  • you can also bring photocopy
 
5. 1 Copy of Family registry Certificate
(가족관계 증명서)
  • Basic certificate can apply from local civil office in Korea (주민센터)
  • you can also bring photocopy 
 
6. 1 Photocopy of Birth certificate
(출생증명서 사본)
  • Parents name must be on the Birth certificate
 
7. 1 Photocopy of F4 visa page on Passport
(F4 비자 사본)
  • Visa confirmation letter can be accepted. 


 8. Photo copy of Housing Contract
(숙소계약서 사본)
  • This form will be given from housing provider. 
  • If you signed up for your own housing contract, you need to prepare this. 

 
9. Confirmation letter for the accommodation residency (거주숙소제공동의서)

  • This form will be given from housing provider. 
  • If you signed up for your own housing contract, you need to prepare this.

 10. Application Fee (60,000 ~ 13,000 KRW)

11. Apostilled Copy of BA degree & National level Criminal background check  

           (아포스티유된 학위와 범죄기록서)

  • These documents may not be requested for you to apply your ID at the immigration office, however, these are requested from board of Education when your employer register you. 

 

12. Sealed Original Copy of E2 Health Check result (봉인된 건강검진서)


  • This is not mandatory documents for immigration use, however, it can be requested from employment use.
