I sent all my documents to Korea, what's next?

 

that’s great! you have hired from a school (hagwon) and submit all the required documents for a visa, then here are the next steps!
 
Once the employer received your documents, it will take 5~10 business days to process the visa at a Korean immigration office. while it processing, you need to check out the website of the Korean consulate in your region to make sure you are ready to apply for your visa once it approved. 
 
please visit the website of Korean consulate in your region, (this is one in Atlanta)  
 
we will send you a visa application form and issuance number by email. 
so you can prepare your passport /passport photo / a Visa fee (45$ for US citizen)

If you received a Confirmation of Visa Issuance Number

※ Please note: Only the passport with attached visa will be returned. No other documents will be returned.
  • Visa Application Form
  • Valid Passport (must have at least 6 months of validity left and have at least 2 blank visa pages)
  • 1 Passport Photo
  • Confirmation of Visa Issuance Number
  • Copy of employment contract (does not need to be signed by the employer)
  • Non-US citizens must also submit a copy of valid US permanent resident card or (a) valid U.S. visa (b) I-94 record (www.cbp.gov/i94) (c) I-20 or DS-2019 that has been recently signed for travel (F-1/2 and J-1/2 visa)
  • Visa Fee (please find details below)
 
if you are going to mail them for the process, please make sure you are providing them 
paid return envelop as well as the money order (or cash)
 
 
The process can slightly differ from each consulate, however, many of them have similar process above. please consult with your personal recruiter for the process to make it sure anyway!
